On Sunday, April 6, 2025, communities across Canada will gather in Vancouver, Toronto, and Calgary to stand in solidarity with Hongkongers affected by ongoing delays and injustices in Canada’s immigration system.
Why rally?
Thousands of Hongkongers came to Canada through a special immigration pathway designed to support those fleeing political repression. Many are already living here, working, paying taxes, and building lives. But due to processing backlogs, policy inconsistencies, and bureaucratic errors, they are now stuck in limbo—some even at risk of deportation. They deserve stability, dignity, and the permanent status they were promised.
